Stopped here for a few days to decompress from my
flight from New York before a meeting at Kapalua. Visited Makena Little
Beach and enjoyed the waves. Felt a little stiff from my flight, so I
called a Kihei masseuse to work the kinks out. She gave me a fantastic

Saying we stayed at Tropical Breezes seems too impersonal.
We felt like we were private guests of Daryl and Dallas. We've not met
better people in our travels. They made us feel welcomed and at home.
We had a great time enjoying snorkeling, the Road to Hana and Haleakala.
Snorkeling right down at the closest beach was just as nice as our tour
trip. Quiet morning and evenings around the house was very relaxing. Liked
making friends with Hoa too. Thanks for everything.

Only three days! Not nearly enough time to see and explore Maui. But what a wonderful reason to make plans to return for a longer stay? Peaceful, quiet and no children yelling or dogs barking! (Not even Hoa - the rescue pup). If you want some wonderful Hawaiian music, ask Dallas to play his CD's of "Pride of Punahele" or "Iz, Facing Future." We spent three days painting and seeing the beauty that is Maui. Up country's rural lifestyle appealed to us most, but the beauty of the Iao Valley and the black sand beach at Makena fought for first honors.
